What can go into the compost?

Question:My family never seems to finish up the vegetables, and i hate throwing it out, because after a while it starts to rot and smell. Can i put vegetables into the compost? Like tomatoes and cabbages and stuff like that?

Answers:
You can use raw or cooked veggies, as long as they were not cooked with butter/oil. Also toss in your coffee/tea grounds, egg shells, potato skins, banana peels, apple cores, leaves, weeds, grasses, and clippings.

Do not add any meat products or anything that contains grease.

Make sure you are chopping everything in small pieces. This speeds the decomposition/heat created.

Turn the pile and water at least once a week.

Yes.
yes,you can and fruit too.
Also grass,weeds,tea bags,egg shells etc.
You sure can the more the merrier all the best
Vegetables and items like pasta and even paper are fine, but stay away from meats and grease in the compost pile. And, as you probably know, turning the pile over on a regular basis will aid in the decomposition.

Good Luck.
anything organic goes in. newspaper can too alittle.
vegetables and anything that you can grow you can put into the compost even coffee grounds
-don't put in any bones or meat or even weeds
-meat products will attract rats
-the weeds when broken down might reappear
-every few months you should rotate the pile by putting the top on the bottom and the bottom on top
