I have section 8 can i move into a house?

Question:i have a voucher with 2 bedrooms ..i live in nyc and i wanna move from my 1 bedroom apt..i have 2 kids and its very uncomfortable here so i was wondering what else can i get with my section 8 plz help im clueless? thanxs

First, to check with the county where you want to move to, then call the section 8 office at that location ask for the rental listing to see if there are houses available, if you find place you like, then transfer your voucher to that county.
