What's with all the hullabaloo about barns?
Question:Save the barn! why are so many interested in old barns?
Answers:
Because nobody builds new ones like the old ones. The need to store hay and livestock together is old school. New technology favors inexpensive pole construction and hay is stored outside in round bales. We have a 1909 German hip roof on the national registry and the only thing we use it for is storage.
Old barns are often works of art.they have their own charm and beauty. The new ones being built are just plain ugly for the most part...
