Why does water spurt out of the tap sometimes, hot and cold both affected? Any advice?

Question:

Answers:
When the tap is turned on?

Perhaps you have air getting into your pipes...which would also probably mean you have a leak somewhere.

If however, your shower or bath is on and the taps are also turned on while the bath/shower is running and both share the same water pipes then air can be sucked into the pipes to be released later when the taps are turned on after the bath/shower is turned off.

Phew, that make sense? ^^

thats air pockets in the pipes, which is generally a sign of a broken or leaking pipe (possibly not in the house, maybe underground)
