How to clean up the leaves on my rubber and cheese plants?

Question:I recently bought a couple of plants, cheese, umbrella and rubber. The leaves are quite dirty and need a clean but I don't know what with, any ideas??

Answers:
Listen to me darling. They love milk. A little milk on cotton wool or very soft cloth, and wipe them down leaf by leaf. This is especially good for the rubber plant. The milk is fact. However because I suggest being kind to them as well when you do it, does not mean I'm a weirdo. So do that as well.

If you are not comfortable having a little chat to them, then don't do it. But do the milk

Lived for many years in the countries of origin of these plants, and have grown some amazing ones. My plants in England where I now live are the talk of everyone who sees them.

Milk for gently washing down the leaves.

Regular spraying with water, a fine mist spray is best, will help to give you great plants. And do not overwater the soil. In their natural situation, they have monsoon rains, but also long very dry spells and are designed to retain a lot nutrients and water in dry times. Hence the thick lush leaves.

Best feed is a little Baby Bio according to instructions on the bottle.

Enjoy I'm sure they will do well.

Baby bio leaf cleaner, but to get the dirt and dust off use tepid water and a soft cloth.
Wait, cheese comes from PLANTS?!
what? you have cheese plants? umbrella plants? COOL.
Put it under a sprinkler or spray it gently with a waterhose. Then dry the leaves or let them air dry. Last, spray it with house plant spray. It will really make it shine. They sell it at Wal, but I got mine at a flower shop for $7 a can.
a squeezed out tea bag removes the grime gives a shine and nourishes too xx
spray with a hose if you can take them outside or use a wet paper towel and wipe them clean.
Wipe with a cloth dipped in milk and then buff with a dry cloth.
Sainsburys Leafshine wipes.
Baby bio leafshine, also there are some leaf wipes or a spray that does the job very nicely
rub the leaves with banana skin then wipe over with a soft cloth for shiny leaves. milk is also very good
I put mine out in the rain, but only if it's not too cold and windy and as long as the rain isn't really heavy, then just leave them for the water to run off, just like the plants in the garden. Otherwise just use a damp cloth or spray with water and wipe off gently. You can buy leaf shine for cheese and rubber plants it makes the leaves all nice and shiny and they tend not to look dusty so soon. I've got some umbrella and rubber plants in my house and they look great and don't need too much looking after.
try dipping cloth in milk and wiping gently. It leaves a nice shine, is readily available at all times and you are not using chemicals. Good luck
use a hypo allergenic baby wipe
a banana skin works well and give it a nice shine. or milk on a cotton wool ball cleans them aswell.
I thought everybody knew that you clean them with Milk and Cotton Wool balls.
hiya i always use milk on mine they grow lovely and have a brill shine just put on with cotton wool x
