Home Siding?
Question:What kind should I go with, what has the longest life? Best pricing? In Eastern KY
Answers:
engineered wood - This is what I have on my house, pretty good stuff, price is OK, If I got to do it over I would choose fiber cement. (Not much different on price)

Stucco - again not a fan

Lots of choices, but on a budget I would use Fiber cement siding. It Holds paint well, wont rot or crack, not a food source for termites.
Hope this helps - GL
Hardiplank looks like a good idea.
Or possibly a stone veneer.
I have vinyl, it is crap. My mothers aluminum is losing it's color.
We had cedar siding on our house.. we went with hardy plank. looks better than the wood and is more durable. we went to James Hardy website and got alot of info about it and the different styles .. Just make sure you get a contractor that has installed and worked with it before you have it put on...
