How do I get rid of flies and maggots?

Question:What is the most effective tool to get rid of common house flies and their larvae?

Answers:
I've typically found flies and their larvae around food/trash/litter box (mainly in the kitchen area). I purchased some Flying Insect Killer, which you spray around areas like the doors, cracks, and at the fly itself. The most effective way that got rid of my flies - constant cleaning. I took out the trash every night. I swept, disinfected the tables, counters (even behind the coffee maker, toaster, cannisters), sink, oven. Between the cleaning and insect killer, they have disappeared. My mother-in-law hangs bags of water above her door and windows to keep out the flies, too.

The larvae hatch in some kind of food source. Where ever you are seeing maggots has to be disposed of. Either bury it or put in plastic bags and seal. As for the flys, any flying insect spray will kill them.
