Anybody know where i can find a Hose Key?
Question:I have a hose faucet and you need one of those special keys that gardners have, where can i get one of those, or is there something else i can use?

Hi
The faucet on the exterior of the building without a Knob/Handle is a SILLCOCK.
So what you are looking for is a SILLCOCK KEY.
I am not sure if you need to know the manufacturers name to insure they fit.
Here are some links I found.
These seem to indicate that they fit 4 different sizes.

The individual ones look like a Wing nut on top.

NOTE only fits one size!
In general all large industrial plumbing supply stores, as well as some hardware stores, will sell these.
Good Luck
OSH and other hardware stores stock them.

Sometimes the Valve stem" the thing you put the key on" is a 1/4" square shaft. all you need is a 4" or 6" 1/4" drive extension shaft from a i/4" socket drive set.push the square hole end onto the valve stem and turn with a Crescent wrench or equivalent tool!
I use pliers for mine.
