ARGHH! I hate ants!!?
Question:Yes, it's that time of year again. The time of year when you can't even leave a bottle of soda out without having ants invade your room. I'm stating this because it's what's happening to me right now. Out of nowhere, a wave of ants have invaded my room. I just SPECIFIC tips on getting rid of them (or a good link with the info on will work just as well). I will, of course, be choosing a best answer. And finally, pesticides/strange chemicals don't bother me one bit.

I've just learned that peppermint oil will deter them! You can purchase a bottle of it at most health food stores for about $5. Using a Q-tip, paint a line around the area you don't want them going into. They will not cross the line! LOL, it's amazing! You can also use a damp paper towel and spread the stuff around to cover a larger area. Give it a try!
BTW, wash your hands afterward, this stuff is strong, concentrated mint! It will burn if you touch your eyes or other "sensitive" areas!

spray the bottom edges of your room with some kind of insect killer, also spray all around the edges of windows, hope this helps you. ;)
i hate ants too(i mean they ain't in my room or anything cuz i be cleaning all dat BUT), i don't even know y they even in the world, i mean they do nothing but irriate us!

As much as I hate killing things, I know exactly what you mean. Get some Raid for your room. Get rid of ALL sources of food, snacks, candy, sodas, fruits, sweets, etc in your room and then get the ant baits outside your room too (Grant's Ant Stakes) then spray outside as well. Here, we often know that the rainy season will come when huge armies of ants starts raiding in some areas of our house, especially in our kitchen. So maybe the ants in your house was just preparing for something too lol. What I suggest you can do besides using pesticides is to clean more of your surroundings--secure bottles; swipe and mop floors; wipe tables, shelves and counter tops; etc. And if let's say you're drinking a bottle of soda, put it on a small plate with a small amount of water--like a moat--to prevent ants from crawling there. These won't stop the ants from crawling around the place but it can help regulate them.
ADD: Maybe it's a sign for you to hit the shower! lol! Just kidding. Your surroundings might also have something to do why they hit on you too.
