Would spraying clorox bleach on a spider kill it?

Question:

Answers:
Yes, but not instantly, many industrial strength sprays won't kill spiders instantly. Spiders do not clean themselves like insects so spray on the body does not get ingested, and rarely soaks through the exoskeleton, therefore the spider is not poisoned. The sodium chlorate 6% found in clorox will attack tissues and may blind it and this may kill it over a few weeks or days out of starvation. If soaked in bleach the tissues would eventually also deteriorate.
Some spider's lung designs allow it to be closed off to prevent breathing poisons.
