Is it possible to have a room completly fireproof?

Question:I am a movie junkie. I have over 800 DVD movies, and I think I will be buying movies for the rest of my life. Now, my concern is fires. If I have a fire, I don't want to be 40 years old and losing a 2,500 movie collection to a stupid fire.

Is it possible to build one specific room in a house that is completly fireproof and safe in case of a fire? I am talking the whole entire place burning down, and walking thru the mess and seeing that one fireproof room still standing and all the contents inside safe and untouched.

It sounds a little too good to be true to me. But I am just asking if this is possible?

sure it's possible. think of a bank vault, it won't burn down. but who knows what way we'll be watching movies in the future. you'll probably just store them all on some data base nowhere near where you actually watch them.
yes its easy, build it underwater and watch your dvd's in scuba gear
Your problem would be not the fireproof aspect but the fact that DVD's are plastic, while there would not be fire there would still be quite a bit of heat . Melting could be the problem.

Someone else said it, Bank Vault. But they are protecting paper and metal.
