Closing on my home at the end of August. Can I take my luxury shower head or do I have to leave it?
Question:

Did you mention it to your Realtor? It's considered a part of the house. If you told the Realtor you want to keep it, and it's in the contract, it's yours. If not, I'm afraid it belongs to the person who buys the house.
Unless the buyer's specifically asked for it, it's yours darlin.
It all depends what the contract says. You can include or exclude anything you like but be sure it's in the contract the way you want it.
uh yeah luxury...i would take it for sure, it sounds expensive
It depends. Did you do a walk through already and specified which items are staying and going? And did the buyer see this "shower head"? If so then they bought the house or are buying it with the shower head.who know's it could have been a selling point. If it isn't specified then I would say take it, install another one and get a move on. But I would really look into it because people nowadays ***** about everything and sue about everything. I would just ask around the realtor or even the buyer tell them the shower head broke and you are replacing it and they can even pick one out and you will foot the bill or maybe not but you get my drift something like that. Actually that is a good idea! Tell them it broke and get another one for them and take yours with you. That way no problems everyone is happy. Just shhhh...this is between you and me lol.
Anything that you wanted, you should have removed before you put your home up for sale. The new owner probably has seen it and expects it to stay. It's like taking a fan or light fixture. You should leave all those things.
Don't leave a no head shower behind, replace with a reasonable standard head. And one of the best things to do is replace the shower curtain.
When your house was on the market did you show it with the shower head? If so, you must include it in the sale. If not, you can do what you like with it. It's always wise to take down any fixtures you want to take with you before you try to sell your house. The buyers will be expecting to get whatever they saw. That shower head might have helped swing the sale.
If it was there when the buyers looked at the house then you should leave it. Something screwed into the wall like that would be considered a fixture.
