Black worms in toilet?

Question:Came back from a 5 day vacation to find several little black half inch worms in my toilet water. The toilet is clean other than a little lime stains.

What are they and where did they come from?

Its a larvae of flies. It will turn into adult flies after a few days

almost sounds like leeches but I couldn't say how they got there.

I think that it might be mosquito larve! They will mature soon so i suggest flushing and cleaning the toilet. Mosquitos lay there eggs in water but most commonly outside anywhere there is water. Oh.. and fly larvae are white.
