Do Ionisers really work?
Question:
Answers:
yes they certainly do, l have one next to my bed and it helps me alot.
Yes, big time, big big big difference - the problem is with quality of different ones but even a bad one is kinda helpful vs. nothing at all - if you live near a beach all you need to do is sit by crashing waves for a while for the same effect or high up in the mountains or pine forrests, the inventors of these machines are trying to bring nature indoors with new technology
they even have ionic brushes, bracelets, hairdryers - you can look into a whole lot of stuff to help in as many ways as possible, little mini ones for the office, even smaller for travel that fits around the neck like a necklace, or in one's pocket...
people recommend Oreck, I have something, don't know the name
Funny you should ask that question as I have been pondering over this one myself. I have read masses of info on it and I have come to the conclusion that there is no evidence to support claims that they are beneficial and because they are an expensive item to fork out on I would like to know more about them first.
There are many forums talking about ionisers just type in the word and you will come up with dozens.
If anyone who has one can convince me of the benefits I may just consider buying one until then i will keep on searching for info.
Consumer Reports say no, only the most expensive ones do a noticeable job.
I put a smaller one in my son's room and notice that it makes a difference, helping with his allergies.
Stay away from any that do not circulate air, though. I have seen some selling on ebay as ionizers without fans, and angrily returned a few after they turned out to be nothing but air freshners.
Don`t think so, tried several too treat lung conditions. Paid over £100 for one when run ofthe mill ionisers didn`t work. Still no good. Gave it my neighbour. It didn`t work for her either.
I never use ionisers because I would breathe in false air and that's bad for me.
