Question:

Answers:
Put plain white vinegar in a pot and boil it for about 10 minutes. It will not make your house stink, however, it will remove any unwanted smells in your house.

You are going to have to open the house up, all the windows and doors. Then place fans blowing to the outside so that it is venting out. I would also put on any ceiling fans.

As for cleaning start wiping down the walls and cabinets with Murphys Oil Soap it will get any residue off the walls, and then wash the counter tops and stove with vinegar and water mixture half and half. If you have any furniture begin spraying it with febreeze if you can take any cushions off take the to the dry cleaners. Curtains need to be laundered as do any rugs.

Best of luck! Burned plastic is not a pleasant smell.
The type of plastic on kettles and knives can have poisonous gasses to people. Air out the room as much as possible.

A "humidifier" would help too. (you can sometimes rent those from a pharmacy - they are good for colds)
Otherwise, boil water for steam to rise ...

(The water vapour can connect with the plastic particles and make them heavier than air so they can gather on counter tops and the floor)
Wipe all surfaces with a rag and mop the floor ...
.. hope that helps
