I was told that burning incense would keep mosquitoes away.?

Question:If so, is it due to the smoke or the smell.

Answers:
Kind of... Actually a special kind of incense called a mosquito coil. You light it and it works for about 4 hours. Off! makes a popular one that comes in it's own terra cotta pot. And it's the smoke and the insecticide that works together to keep them away.

The active insecticide is Octachlorodiproyl ether. Also known as S-2. it is a known carcinogen. Not all mosquito coils contain this insecticide. I don't believe Off! does, but usually cheaper brands do.

I don't think it will. Just use Citrona candles, if you're going to burn anything. It might be the smoke though.
Who ever told U that they are Truly Lying. You only get a nice scent that's all lol
Sorry it's neither. Insence doesn't work. But you can buy a Citronella candle, which burns and this keeps the mozzies away. Good Luck!
