Smelly fridge - spillage down the drainage hole - help!?

Question:A month or so ago, a pot of cream spilt in our fridge, some of it going down the drainage hole in the bottom of the fridge. While we cleaned it up, there's now a rank smell coming from the fridge. I can't see how to open the bottom of the fridge to get into the mechanism to clean it up.
Anyone got any thoughts - how to get in, what to pour down the hole to clear up the smell, anything!

Answers:
Pour white vinegar down the drain and keep an open container of baking soda in the fridge to absorb any odors.

clean it with bicarb of soda

then leave a plate of bicarb of soda in fridge

bye bye smell
Just keep flushing hot water down there to melt the ick... Do it till the water runs out clear. Then invest in a couple of boxes of baking soda, They will help absorb the smell.
Turn the Fridge round on the top of the motor there will be a plastic tray with a rubber pipe running into it this catches any condensation from the fridge then the heat from the motor evaporates it some of the cream has got in there just remove the tray wash it and put it back.

Hope this helps BigD
BigD,s got it right when you have finished the job clean out the inside of the fridge with half a lemon or bicarb of soda in water this will get rid of the smell.
Ps BigD the motor is called a compressor
