Question:want to plants for a rockery any suggestions??

Alpine plants are always good. just don't do that 70s idea of a rockery!!
make sure you know what ph your soil is,whether its free draining and what kind of sun it gets.
Heather is a nice inclusion many sizes and colours.

A family of African plants that can withstand drought and love this hot weather, is the South African Daisy, or Cape Daisy.
The colour range is pure white, through blue-white to pink and dark purple.
In UK south they will often continue to bloom into Winter months. There are many other sun-loving plants of this kind which are on show at the nursery right now.
Apart from arranging your rocks in a natural fashion, a layer of small chippings between the rocks looks good, and keeps down the weeds. Enjoy!
Look at alphines, arabis is a very nice plant.
