Any ideas on Plants?
Question:I love plants/flowers but I can't keep them alive.
What are some good plants that need little to no sunlight? Indoor plant that my cat won't eat. That might be my bigest problem she eats every plant I bring home.
What are some plants/flowers that need lots of light?
And if you can give me tips on plant/flower care for each plant/flower you give.

If you are worried about plants that a cat wont eat.well...that depends on how your cats are. Most houseplants are very poisonous to cats. Calla lillies, peace lilies, ivy, etc are all poisonous. Most of the common houseplants are. Someone mentioned cactus. LOL. Not poisonous, and I doubt your cats will eat it! You need a sunnier window for them though. There arent many plants that can stand the darkest corner of your home. I have found that peace lily and pothos ivy do very well in low light, but again...poison. :(

Go to the nursery. They will have the indoor plants all in one section--indoors. The outdoor plants will also be in their section. You can then read on the little tab that is put in each pot. It will tell you how much sun, water, how big it will get, etc. If you can't decide, ask an employee for help. I find this the easiest way to pick plants.
Go to a book store or your local library and get some books on plants, you will find a large volume of books to help you.
Get a cactus. They never die
Low light: Impatiens, begonias, ferns, hosta, palms, pothos, peace lillies, scheffelera - there are lots.
Full Sun: Zinnias, cyperus, geraniums, crysanthemum, canna, calla, and many more
Perhaps you could just hang your plants from the ceiling to keep the cats away from them. A good (not so tasty) indoor plant is the begonia, it can be in low light.
