What is this scary plant's name??

Question:Hi y'all,
I have this weird vine growing in my yard. It started growing from a woody stump (sort of looks like a mature Bounganvilla stump). The plant grows very, very fast and has fairly large cordate-shaped leaves. It also has these huge and soft green thorns that have really sharp tips. I've been letting it grow to see if it has any flowers or berries, but there is nothing of that sort. It looks a little like a young Bouganvilla, but I'm pretty sure it's not! Help!

Answers:
Its a bounganvilla. Mine did the same thing

sounds like a bouganvillea to me, but next time maybe you can take a photo of it and upload it to photobucket.com and post a link so that we can all see what it looks like. We could then give you a much better answer. :) Also if we know what zone you are in that will help too. Bouganvillea doesnt grow everywhere. :)
