Flies in my house and in my window boxes?

Question:i live in nyc and i installed window boxes about 3 weeks ago. I then got an air conditioner that connects through the window. Since i got the air conditioner I have noticed some flies in the house. But in the last couple of days I have been killing between 10 and 20 a day. I even took the air out of the window to see if that would work. Do you think its the window boxes, the house flowers, or the hot air from the air conditioner in the back? What do I do, help!

I don't think that it is any of the choices!! I think that you have a hole around the air conditioner that is letting flies in!!

Flies are attracted to dead stuff or raw meat or fruit or your garbage!!. They are not attracted to plants, not indoor or window box types!!
