Problem with my FIGS?

Question:My fig plant was developing nicely. THEN, a white powder-y crap attacked them. Now, they are getting dark blotches and falling off; the leaves are turning brown and falling off. Anyone know what it is and what can be done to stop it spreading further? I had my 'tooth' set for ripe figs and cream. sigh

Answers:
try this mix..get a spraybottle and squirt in apx 2 TBSP dishsoap, apx 2 TBSP oil(any cooking oil) fill with water, shake up and soak down the TREE(they grow huge, not a bush!) make sure you get stem, figs, undersides of leaves.Sounds like you might have a mold or maybe mites or other bugs but that spray should help. Make sure not to spray it in the heat of the day. Is it planted in the ground? If it is I have tips to keep it healthy!

build a green house or go to lowes tell them your problem and they will help
