A lot of plants in my garden have a purple cast to them whats wrong with them are they safe?

Sounds like a phosphorus deficency to me. Have you been fertilizing? If so, maybe you just need a boost of something higher in the phosphorus--maybe even scratch a granular product into the soil around the plants.
