Does anyone know where I can get an Italian Stone Pine Tree? I need help.?

Question:Sometime ago, I planted some Italian Stone Pine Seeds which for some reason never germinated, inspite of my dilligent care for them. Now I just want to buy a small or sappling tree. Those seeds were huge! And I dont see how anyone could get them to germinate. They are rotten by now, since I kept them moist but they never sprouted. Can anyone Help?

It appears that Rolling River Nursery in Northern California sells Italian Stone Pine seedlings online. I've not used these people, so you are on your own. Good luck with the seedlings!

You get the Good Gardener Effort Award! It is always fun to try new things, but they don't always turn out the way that you want/expect!!

Pinus pinea is the Italian Stone Pine Tree. It is native to Southern Europe and Turkey. That means that it does NOT grow where there is snow! Extra heavy frost may be a problem!! I don't know where you live.

If you decide to plant a sapling, here are some other things that you should know. These trees grow moderately quickly to 40 to 80 feet HIGH and 40 to 60 feet WIDE!!! Make sure that you have room in your garden for this Giant!!

This is the pine that makes "pine nuts".

Good Luck!!
You might have bought some old seeds. Here is a link to Whatcom Seed Company. I have had good luck with them in the past. http://seedrack.com/08.html
