What's a good plant to have on my desk in the office?

Question:

Answers:
orchids are very elegant in an office setting.. kinda expensive to keep fresh, blooming ones all year, though.

Go ahead.. you deserve nice things, right?

cactus :) just be careful where you place it.
Try a fern, they're pretty hardy and don't take much maintenance.
how about some sort of ivy like english or something along those lines . good luck.
I suggest you try a spider plant (Chlorophytum comosum). It is known to absorb carbon monoxide from the air in homes or offices. Studies conducted by NASA have shown it to be particularly effective in absorbing formaldehyde, xylene and benzene. These substances can come out from the wood furniture such as lacquers used to treat wood.

Still a plant (any plant) needs light, so be sure to have some natural light. or you can buy two plants and rotate them each day. Placing one near a window and the other on your desk and then exchange one with the other every other day.
Dracaena. It adapts well to dim light indoors.
It has showy leaves. Use the standard test for watering, i.e., stick your finger one inch into the soil. Water if dry.
I bought my husband a bamboo plant and a bonsai tree. They are pretty easy to take care of and just need a bit of pruning. It looks professional, but gives his office a bit of character as well. If you want a hardy floor plant try the dragon tree(Not sure of the latin name). They last forever and need minimal care.
