How to kill wild black berries?

Question:

Answers:
go buy some "RoundUp"
get the kind for brush and thick weeds

Make round up your best friend. What we do here on the farm is, trim them all the way down and then spray the stump..
poor petrol or gasoline over it, step back and throw a match on it
For an all-natural way to blackberries or any other kind of invasive plant, try pouring Vinegar, like Apple-Cider Vinegar, on the stem of the plant and as much of the roots as you can get. It works because it is very acidic and makes the soil toxic to the plant while burning it.
For a completely free way to rid yourself of the blackberries, dig up all the plants with all the roots and dispose of them. then wait a few months, then dig up all the new blackberries that have come up from any roots you might have missed. In the North you may have to wait until spring for this second dig. Dispose of the plants. Continue digging and disposing until you've eradicated the patch.
I don't recommend the gasoline/petroleum approach, because while this does work, it also damages the soil in that area making it impossible for you to replant and keep a thing alive.
These methods also work great on poison ivy and kudzu, and in Zone 9 - passionflower!
