How many feet is a ton of flagstone (either 1 or 2 inch depth)?

Question:

Answers:
A ton of flagstone covers approximately 80-100 sq. ft. Some of the thicker flagstones can only cover 60- 70 Sq. ft. These two numbers should give you a good range for estimating your flagstone needs. Also, your installation treatment can have some affect on coverage. These numbers assume typical, open joints between flagstones. If you tighten up the joints, even use a partner saw to produce what we call irregular cut flagstone (typical 1/8" joints), your coverage will be less due to cutting waste.

Ask the supplier, their guess is a lot better than ours.
