Laying sod in the summer?

Question:I live in vegas, it about 100-108 degrees and rising. If I lay sod right now (with frequent watering) will it successfully grow? I want to lay either bentgrass or bermuda

Answers:
It will survive if you keep it soaked for at least three weeks. Then regular watering should do. I live in Texas and planted rocks and cactus so I wouldn't have to mow and water. Try it,,,you'll like it!!!

Speak to a local landscaper. You can check out http://www.1800topsoil.com for more help. They are national, so they may have someone local. Good luck!
Definately, if you keep it watered well until it is established...I would hold off using fertilizer at the start, be aware of buying bermuda in late summer as it may contain fall army worms.
