Rotating Gourds?

Question:I am growing about nine gourds along side of my house and I have one that is really doing well>>>At first I had big leaves coming up and now I have gourd sprouts coming out of at least three. But, the biggest gourd plant I have so far is growing toward the wall..and that means if I keep it like that it will have a flat spot. How safe would it be if I rotated my gourd.

Answers:
Yes, but do it slowly, if you turn it 180 deg. all at once they tend to sunburn or get strangled at the stem and whither up. Try to turn just a little bit every other day or so. RScott

Do you have them on a trellis? My dad use to grow them but he trained them to grow on a trellis and they grew perfect!!
