SunFlowers?

Question:How do you make your own sunflower seeds? I have three huge sunflowers in my garden.

Answers:
The best way to make sunflower seeds is to get sea salt, a large kettle or pot, and some mature sunflower seeds.

Fill the pot about half full, add the salt and the seeds and bring to boil. Check seeds and do not allow them to get too soggy.

Drain seeds from water and spread them out on a cookie sheet. Put them in the oven at a low heat until they are roasted and dry.

I think it's similar to making pumpkin seeds. You boil the seeds in a concentrated salt water solution, then dry the seeds in a slow oven on low heat.
For unsalted seeds just let them dry on the plant, eat the seeds when dry.
I prefer to roast my seeds rather than boiling them because that yields the texture that I prefer:

Take the raw seeds, spread then in one layer on a lightly oiled cookie sheet, and sprinkle them with as much or as little salt as you want.

Toast them at 300 degrees for a few minutes, stir them often and take them off the heat when they just barely begin to brown. Then you can eat them as is or use them in any trail mix recipe.
wash them, then dry them in the sunny location until they look dried from the water, then off to the oven on real low temp, spread out on a cookie sheet, add fine salt, and flip as best you can. you'll have to watch so they don't burn. try putting the oven rack in the furthest slot away from heat source.
