Is it better to water your lawn in the morning or at night?

Question:

Answers:
It is better to water your lawn early in the morning or during the day, provided you don't water it in direct sunlight. Keeping your lawn damp at night is not a good idea as it can produce fungus on your lawn. Watering in direct sunlight can burn your lawn.

I water mine during the day, when the sun is no longer on it directly. If that's impossible due to the direction the lawn is facing, I do it in early morning, before the sun becomes hot enough to burn the lawn. The same holds true for flowers, by the way.

You should NEVER water your lawn or garden at night- it's bad for them to sit damp overnight.
Early morning.
Night watering can create mold.
Early morning hours before sunrise so the water does not evaporate and penetrates the ground before the sun rises. It is best to water to a depth of six inches twice a week but you need good soil, not the clay I have here.
I would say at night to keep the water from evaporating during the heat of the day. Where I live we are in a severe drought and can't water but one day a week and late at night. Although if you are talking about getting up say around 1 am and water that's fine, but water needs to soak in so it won't steam your grass all day long. Hope this helps and if got extra water, send some my way!!!
Morning.
Early morning is the best time to water your lawn. It's because if there is any water that is not absorbed ( there always is some) the sun will make it evaporate. On the other hand if you water it at night, the water will stay there for the whole night and that will create mold.
The expert advice is to water it in the morning rather than night to avoid mold/fungus. If you are only watering once a week or so, I don't think night watering should be a problem. It's not like it never rains at night.
