Is it too late for my aloe?

Question:I took my aloe vera outside on sunday before i went out for the day, anyways the weather turned nasty and i forgot the poor plant outside for the last 2 days, there was a major down pour and a thunder and lightening storm yesterday and i rescued the aloe from my yard this morning. is it too late to save it now?

Answers:
aloes love sun, so if it is soggy water, repot or absolutely get as much water out as possible. Do not water again for 2 weeks.
Set in the sunniest, hottest space around outside. If the main part looks like it has rotted-- as is totally soft, pitch any heathy hard surface and put in dirt pot hard side down to try to reroot.
Never overwater an aloe. And of course, if you burn yourself, pinch a piece off and rub on your skin. It has a cooling, healing effect. Let me know if it makes it!I have hope.

I have an aloe that I've had for 5 years and it's survived all kinds of abuse - once, it went an entire summer with no water and it withered down to ground level and it came back. It has survived torrential rain, standing water, and being repeatedly knocked over by three cats and a puppy. Either it's one determined plant, or aloes can come back from most anything. I say let it get good and dry and it should be fine.
Make sure the pot you have it in has drainage holes. A good way to remove excess water from a waterlogged plant is to set it on a stack of newspapers. excess water will wick out into the papers. Not all aloes like full sun, some actually may be sunburned by too intense sunlight exposures. Bright indirect light may be better for your aloe especially if it has been an indoor plant its whole life. Summer is the most active time of year for aloes so the excess water will most likely not kill it if you remove excess water. If the aloe had sun exposure and was sitting in water you might have more of a problem. Return to a regular watering schedule, plenty of bright light, just remember sitting a plant out in the sun after being inside is like a new yorker going to key west and sitting on the beach all day-sunburn city.
4r time being u can keep in bath room.
