How to protect your animals and home from black widows & brown recluse?

Question:My daughter lives out in the country here in south texas. We found a black widow the other day in one of her dog houses. We are concerned for the animals plus her of course. Does anyone know what we can use to treat her yard & home for these spiders (black widows & brown recluse)?

Answers:
Call a qualified exteminator.

I have tons of them in AZ and have learned to deal with them.

I would not have an outside dog there, or a doghouse if they are found there.

It's just asking for a tragedy.

seems you have a similar problem to us, only we found them in our home. we now have an exterminator show up and spray on a monthly basis. he charges us 30.00 per month but well worth it. no more spiders no more ants no more bugs of any kind ! were arent in texas, but have the same spiders in east tn.
Don't waste anymore time, set-up a program with a exteminator company that knows the area, and what is needed for their safety. The company will know what is needed at different times of the month/year to reduce problems. Good Luck
