Tomatoes help?

Question:I have large tomatoes on my plants but they are all grren and have been for quit some time when do i pick them? becouse some are going bad?

Answers:
Pick them now and keep near some bananas and they will ripen.

best grown in a greenhouse -they need heat to ripen
Pick them green and put them somewhere warm in the house. They'll ripen!
Pick them and put them on a sunny window sill
Are just a few going bad or most? All the rainy weather everyone is having this year, as well as the freak cold we had late, alot are slowing to mature..overwatering can do this too...however, they do not have to be a total loss if they are not ripening..here is a link with many green tomato recipes on it..
Check for blight! If so burn the lot!
If you have green tomatoes that are going bad, I believe there is a problem with your plants. Green tomatoes will ultimately turn red and ripen on the vine if left there long enough. I normally wait until my tomatoes have begun to redden a good bit before I pick them. I don't know what what you mean exactly by the term "bad," but green tomatoes that produce black spots or scab, or bacterial spot shouldn't be eaten anyway. If the tomatoes are green and "cracking" or sunscald, they're edible. But the probable cause of sunscald is drought or infrequent watering.
I'd check to determine the exact problem before picking green fruit and letting it ripen in the window sill. Bad green tomatoes will only turn into bad red tomatoes.

good luck
If they're still green, they're not ready to be picked. Since you say they are going bad, I'm guessing you're talking about blossom-end rot (a black/grey patch at the end where the blossom was). You need to avoid over-fertilizing; additing calcium to the soil may help with fruit in the future, although it will not help fruit that is already having problems.
If it is blight, then the stems of the plants will also have brownish patches on them. Then, unless you have a blight resistant to tolerant plant, you are going to lose your plants. If the plant is blight resistant/tolerant, the plant does recover to make new tomatoes before the end of the season.

If it is blossom end rot, then the tomatoes are still edible, just cut off the blossom side of the fruit. This is caused by a nutrient deficiency. Usually calcium, and normally develops when the temperatures are lower rather than when it is hot.
Make sure they are getting enough sun. Mine were green for a long time this year also, it has been a mild summer here.
