Does anyone know the best way to collect and propogate Peony seeds???
Question:Do the seed pods have to be dry and opening? When should I sow,?Into what medium, and what conditions do they like?Is it true adult Peionies don't like to be moved?
Answers:
well i don't know if this is correct but we waited till the flowers had dropped then took the seed heads and buried them in the soil where we wanted another plant and maybe just luck it grew...
It takes at least seven years for a Peony to flower once you move it. It is much easier to start a new plant by digging the bulbs. But, it still takes them near to 7 years to have flowers.
