They make a Snail and Slug bait that works good, follow the directions. You can also put out dishes of beer, thats right, beer. They will crawl in and drown. But you have to empty the containers and refill so the bait may be better.
leave them be, now the weathers dry they will disappear
Get a big box of common table salt and every time you see a snail, put some on it... eventually you will kill them all, but it's takes a long time.
The beer bait works like a charm, and since snails don't care whether you buy imported beer or "Old Swill", it's probably a LOT cheaper! Just put some in a shallow dish, or jar lid, then place them throughout the garden.
hey you can contact some successful pesticides agencies and the best way to throw them is maintain regular cleanliness of your home.
To simply "lure" them away to a certain spot... place an opened can of cat food in a particular place.. it works wonders! Also, slugs and snails dislike wood shes... you can sprinkle them over and around your plants (and it's good for them!). There is a product called Diatomaceous earth and it is an organic product that you should be able to buy at your local nursery. The directions are on the bag and it is safe for animals.
good luck
get a tuna can and fill it with beer it attracts the snails and drowns them put it in a spot where it wont bother you.
Are you watering your lawn? Maybe over watering it? They are attracted to the moisture.
Mix half and half household ammonia with water, put this solution into a spray bottle & aim at the slugs. Do this when it's shady & cooler out, & when the slugs are active.
Scatter oat bran on the soil to kill slugs and snails.
Coffee poured directly on slugs kills them.
Spread coffee grounds around base of plants.
Flour: When slugs get coated with the flour, they suffocate & drop off.
Surround your plants with one of these: wood ash, sharp sand, crushed egg shells, lava rock, diatamaceous earth, cedar, oak bark. These will cut & dehydrate the slugs, & eliminate them.
The roots of quack grass are more toxic to the slugs than the leaves! Use no more than 2 ounces of dried quack grass per 10 square feet. Too much could inhibit the growth of your plants ( use on established perrenials). Quack grass does have some herbicidal properties to it.
Sprinkle Chili pepper on slugs & on & around the plants.
Trap slugs with beer or other fermented material.
Galic spray is great for getting rid of slugs, cutworms, wireworms, & whiteflies:
In a blender mix 4 cloves of garlic with 1 chopped onion. Place this mixture in a large glass jar and add 2 cups of water. Add 2 teaspoons of bottled hot pepper sauce, stir ingredients together and steep for 2 days. Strain the mixture and add one tablespoon Ivory liquid soap. Then dilute with 5 cups of water. Do not use in full sun or high temperatures because that's when they can burn or stress plants.
A two inch strip of copper flashing material is an effective slug barrier. It carries a very mild electrical charge which is stimulated by contact with the slug’s slimy mucus. While humans can't detect it, slugs can, and they're repelled.
Water only in the morning - the surface soil will be dry by evening. Studies show this can reduce slug damage by 80%.*
Snails are attracted to stale beer, spoiled yogurt, or a mixture of yeast and water. Set out the bait in saucers or tuna cans, buried with the lip of the container level with the soil surface, so the pests fall in and drown. Put a cover with holes in it on the trap to keep rain from diluting the beer and to keep large animals from drinking it.
