I wanna grow ENGLISH IVY on a frame .. Do you think by the end of the summer?
Question:IT WILL HAVE REACHED THE TOP of this frame I plan to get?
It's shaped like a cone, and reaches about 5 foot, or maybe a little less

yes, but in 1 year you will regret it, we planted some in our back yard as a barrier to keep the house from falling off the cliff, in a years time it had grown, covering our daffodils, trees and grass that we had spent 20,000 dollars to get a professional landscaper to bring in. we thought english ivy would make a great addition to our yard, boy, do we regret it. we now have to spend 30-40 hours a month trimming it back, to a manageable scale. but even then its thickening and growing very tall, (it was used as a ground cover) so do your trees a favor and dont plant it if you dont have the time to maintain it.
The saying on ivy is, the first year it sleeps, the second year it creeps, the third year it leaps.
