How can I keep birds out of my yard?
Question:My cat (who only goes outside in the back yard) keeps catching the poor things and bringing them in the house!! I know it is in the cats nature to hunt birds so how can I keep them out of my yard!! (It is for their own good!!)
Answers:
Maybe you should put up a sign warning them away because of the cat. If they know it's for their own good, maybe they will obey you.
(LOL) Seriously though..birds go where their needs are met..worms to eat, leaves and twigs to gather for nests, etc. There's really no way you can keep them away unless you remove what is attracting them.
You could keep your cat inside, however. Not only are the birds safer that way, but your cat is safer, too.
a scarecrow.
Most birds are coming to eat insects, worms and grubs. Use a broad spectrum insecticide like Triazicide or Sevin on your lawn and their food supply will disappear so they will have no reason to come.
Good Luck
a scarecrow like gordo said . you can also try using metallic pinwheels. The birds are scared due to the motion and light reflection. if you think that this helps than put my answer as a best answer
