What is wrong with my shrubs?

Question:I recently purchased some "Winterthur" shrubs which are supposed to be fairly disease and bug resistant. I planted them about a week ago according to the direction and put about a tablespoon or two of tree/shrub fertilizer in the bottom of the hole because our soil is pretty sandy and devoid of nutrients. However, in looking them over today I noticed what looks to be like some kind of blight - some leaves have black on them. The plants are looking stressed.
They have not been overwatered or overfertilized (I don't think) - can someone help me out?

Answers:
listen. take the plant back out of the hole and flush the hole with water for the next two days.. u should put the plant back in it's original container and flush it with water as well. for the next two days.! after the second day. let things cool down for the third..! the problem is that u put the fertilizer down "in the hole". with direct contact with the roots.. this is bad! not good at all. flush the plant and the hole, and next time just add the fertilizer after u've planted the thing! good luck.

call your local nursery and maybe take a leaf in be careful of fertilizer is is powerful stuff I like miracle grow that you put in yard sprayer with water awesome stuff
