Killing undersireable trees?
Question:I've got these unwanted waste trees that keep growing up throw my hedges and other places. Not sure what kind they are but they grow like weeds. I cut them and they want to grow back through sprouts coming out of the little stumps. How do I kill them? I poured some gasoline on them thinking that would kill them but it didn't? I guess I could dig the stumps out of there but I don't want to tear up my lawn.
Also, there's a vine that I want to kill that's nothing but a nuisance. Somebody said use Round Up but I looked at a bottle and it didn't mention for killing vines. Thank you.

Your problem can be easily eliminated simply by purchasing any product with the active ingredient called; "TRICLOPYR". which is sold as "Brush-B-Gone" or "Bayer Advanced Brush Killer".
Simply mix at a ratio of 3 parts water to 1 part "triclopyr" (and add one teaspoon of dishsoap after you've mixed the other two together) in a hand-held spray bottle.
Cut the vine or trees back with a pruning shears to expose the "green wood" and then immediately (within 10 minutes after cutting) spray the mixture onto the cut surface. You can also simply spray the entire vine with this mixture but you'll end up using more material.
The Triclopyr won't harm your lawn and in fact, it can be used to control your broadleaved weeds (such as dandelions, clover, spurge, etc).
Triclopyr acts very similar to Roundup and is used to eliminate hard-to-kill brush and vine species.as well as trees. You should begin to see your vines/treated trees begin to decline within 7 days after spraying. IF you see any regrowth, just treat it again by spraying the emerging leaves.
It's a great product! GOOD LUCK!
