I always use an angle grinder with a stone cutting disc or diamond blade for masonry.Always wear goggles and a dust mask and do all the cutting outside to lessen the chances of dust everywhere.
I would use an angle grinder with a stone cutting disc fitted.
The best way to cut these is with a water fed sthil saw or 9" angle grinder all available from your local hire shop. you can hire it with the blade and you are charged for the cost of hire and price per mm of blade depth used. If you have your own grinder make sure that you buy a decent diamond tipped blade to go with it but be warned they are expensive some of the cheaper ones wear out very quickly and the diamonds and metal turn into molten flying projectiles. also please note it seems simple but make sure that the blade is the right way around so the arrow on the blade goes with the rotation direction of the tool failure to do this can cause premature wear of blades and the blade will jump up and down as the blade has already been worn in and the diamonds opened up in the opposite direction. If you are finding it hard to cut a straight line as some people do use 2 speedy clamps and a straight length of timber to use as a guide for the blade to run down place the slabs on 2 breeze blocks that are laying on there side with a gap in the middle for the blade to run down and also so your speed clamps can fit under the slab and clamp the wood down.

Same as the others, an angle grinder. To lessen the dust, if using a petrol grinder, cut while spraying water onto the slab. If using an electric grinder, soak the slab before starting and at frequent intervals during the cut but MAKE SURE THE GRINDER AND LEAD ARE NOWHERE NEAR THE WATER!
