I planted grass seed over a week ago, water it twice a day, but nothing is growing. Is it too early?

Question:

Answers:
It takes about three weeks to fully emerge. My husband didn't water for a month and all the back yard died when I was out of town taking care of my father. I had to have it aerated and reseeded.

could be more time needed, but most likely you should have seen some green by now. Was the soil soft (tilled up or aerated) before you seeded. The weak roots of seedlings cannot penetrate baked soil.
