Ratio for oil in a weed wacker?

Question:What is the ratio of oil in a weedwacker .08 gas tank. It requires 1/2 pint to a gallon of gas. But what amount of oil do I add to this tank?

Answers:
All my Genuine brand Weed Eater 2-cycle motors recommend a 40-1 gasoline to one part 2 cycle motor oil mix.

That figures out to 3.2 oz. of premium 2-cycle oil per gallon of gasoline.

Since you asked the amount of premium 2-cycle oil to be used for your .080 gallon (16 oz.) gas tank you'll need exactly 4 ounces of two cycle oil to add to your sized gas tank.

8/10ths of 1/2 a pint. Im sure this is a math question and im not doing your homework for you. You should be able to get that.

If this is for real and you want to know. Go get a gallon of gas in your gas can put in the 1/2 pint. And just fill it up. You will use the rest later anyway.
They sell little bottles of oil for 1 gallon of gas.
save some headaches and buy a gallon of gas and add your 1/2 pint of oil to it...fill wacker as needed...sounds like an awful rich mix to me...
