Growing Strawberry plants?
Question:I got this strawberry plant from Wal-mart, there were 3 left in these little container things. It was a on $1 because all the berry plants were dying because they have been sitting out there forever. The one I got was pretty much dead. It was moist, but brown and dead. There was one little tiny leaf that was as small as a fruit fly, and that's the only green part of it, so pretty much it's dead =[. If I plant this outside in my garden in full sun, will it grow back next year? Or grow out this year? What should I do to help it?

Water snd fertslize it. Plant it just a little deeper than the pot and it will do well. Dig out a hole and mix in some fertalizer and potting soil (or guarden soin) so that the roots have fairly easy going of their first growth and you should have lots of runners and healthy plants next year.

I bought some like that and I planted them and kept them watered the first few weeks and they did grow. Plant them and let them grow out. They should grow and make runners. Next year you will have a lot more.
You're going to want to put pesticide on it. My mom tried to plant those and the bugs ate it like crazy. When they are done then you can put FIT on it to rinse off the pesticide and have some delicious strawberries.
It is possible that they may live. Do this.
Make sure the soil pH in no higher than 6.5.
Make sure the root crown is above the soil line. A buried crown will root.
Water thouroughly and add 1/2 strength plant food or full strength transplanting fertilizer.
During the first year pinch of early bloom to strenghten the plant.
