What do I do to make my rose bush bloom? The leaves are beautiful but the last two years it won't bloom?

The only thing you need to do is get rid of it. If it hasn't bloomed in 2 yrs, there's definitely something majorly wrong with it. It may have come from the root stock or something, instead of from a grafted bush. And if it is from grafted stock, and it isn't blooming, I would get rid of it. Rose bushes are pretty cheap, and you need to get one that is going to bloom year after year. No sense wasting your time on a non-bloomer. Hope this answers your question..

Roses are tricky. That was my fathers hobby. He had 32 bushes and they were loaded with blooms. There is no one answer to your question. Maybe look for a rose society in your area they are a lot of fun. I belong to an Orchid society and its great. My father was out there every day cutting, pruning and/or spraying & fertilizing. It is a huge job. The middle number in fertilizer is the magic number for blooms the higher the number the better but roses are tricky maybe you could go to your local agg dept. Good luck.
could be several things. has the area where the roses are growing become more shady over the past few years? that could be the problem. also, good pruning and a consistant fertilization schedule during the growing season is essential for good blooming . good luck.
billy ray isnt making sense. if its from rootstock, wouldnt it have been from rootstock 2 years ago when it was blooming. there DOESNT have to be anything majorly wrong with it as you stated. clip the damn thing back, be agressive with the fertilizing and water, and if the trees are now shading it out, prune to allow more light through.
Walmart sells a product called:Bloom Buster it is suppose to make them really bloom.
my husband is the green thumb in our house, but when we started having trouble with our favorite rose bush all his skill did not make a difference. Then as an experiment I started not only putting coffee grounds around the soil but also feed the plant the left over, cooled off, coffee from the pot. You should see that Rose bush now, we`ve never had so many blooms!
Get the right fertilizer for flowering.
Too much N will only give great leaves.
Well first make sure it is in full sun . Then dig a hole next to it and add rabbit or dog poop (from your own dog , so you know it's not diseased) to the hole and cover up with dirt. and Mulch around the base of plant and covered hole. As soon as the roots find the manure it will bloom ... don't worry!
Bayer makes a wonderful product called Rose and flower care. Big Blue bottle. it is rain proof and controls bugs and disease while promoting blooms and fertilizer all in one. I bought it at Costco but I am sure you can get it else where. I have 2 very large Rose Garden and they are blooming beautifully. Last year they were not as vibrant. Good Luck!
