Question:all my life i've been hearing how some money grows on trees somewhere? does anyone know of this tree, i would like one for my garden.

yes there is a money tree. it actually is a bush. it has pretty lavender flowers when it's in bloom. during the season,"silver dollars" take the place of the blooms.if you let them dry,you can cut some off for flower arrangements,and leave some to re-seed.they are pretty hard to start from seed,but this is the only way i have gotten them.i've never seen them at nurseries.it is actually called a silver dollar plant,but,i too have always known them as money trees.when i was growing up,it seemed like everyone had them,but you don't see many any more.

I think you need to get your hearing checked. The phrase is "Money DOESN'T grow on trees".
Unless of course you mean an income-producing cash crop. The most lucrative of those tend to be illegal crops, like coca, cannabis and opium...but usually it's not the ones growing it that make the BIG bucks...
