I read in a book you can spray poison ivy with salt and soap, will this hurt blackberry bushes near by?

Salt will permanently damage the soil where you apply it. Better to use a herbicide like brush killer A or something similar.

poison ivy is a little tougher then that... u'd better use alot of the stuff if u plan on killing it! good luck and don't get any on ur other plants!
