Why are my apricots spliting?

Question:

Answers:
Apricot cracking is most often caused by uneven watering. Regular watering is best - when a tree suddenly received more than usual, it sucks it up and the fruit swells faster than the skin can stretch, and the fruit cracks. If the fruit is used to regular watering, the skin is prepared to stretch and the fruit wont crack. Perhaps you had an unexpected rainfall a couple of weeks ago or you watered after a period of drought.

too much water, also its just the nature of them .all you see in the stores are #1 . not every cot on a tree is a #1
you've teated them worse than your other fruits just one to many times and they just have to leave.
...apricots are like that you know
