Wood chuck eating every thing! What can I do naturally to keep him out? Quick fixes? House hold items? Help!?
Question:I have a have-a-heart trap set up and he still eats the squash leaves, tomato leaves and cucumber leaves. Is there anything that I can use that is a house hold item? Any thing that I have laying around the house that would help?? Any ideas or cures will be a great help.

Moth balls and an artificial hoot-owl with great big yellow eyes right in front of your bushes, flowers etc,etc.
after watering, try srpinkling the leaves with cayan pepper or crushed red pepper.
it will not hurt the plant but the ground hog will NOT LIKE IT.
Put a lot on the ground near the plant as well.
You can also make a "potion" of water, crushed red pepper, a touch of dish soap and an egg white.
Mix it well..put it in a spray bottle.
It sticks better to the leaves
Catching them in a have a heart works as well.
i have done that...i used a bird seed bell in the trap and caught 3 in no time
