Landscaping job price to high or low...?
Question:Planting 30 arborvities in her front lawn to block off the front street traffic, and privacy etc. about 30 trees 4ft high, I have to dig holes etc, and plant them all spaced apart. what should I charge, I figured about roughly $150.00

I agree with all the other posters here. Ain't worth gettin' out of bed for $150. for 30 trees. That's only five bucks a tree for YOUR labor. Plus you're going to have to space 'em evenly and make sure they aren't eventually going to hinder pedestrian traffic on the sidewalk. One thing you may want to consider: rent a one man gas auger. Beats the hell out of diggin' holes with a shovel.
I'd charge 6 - 800 for this job plus the trees. And like another poster said - 'don't sell yourself short'.
Not worth getting out of bed for! Triple at least the amount your thinking. What would it cost for a landscaper to do it!
Sounds way too cheap! Call a local landscaping company and get an idea of what they charge. Just charge a little less than they would to do the job. Good luck!
I would think it would take about one hour per tree. I would bid by multiplying 30 times your hourly rate and then adding 20%.
No way man. 30 trees? I'd go with 1500 bucks an at least and I'm assuming they've already paid for the trees. Don't sell yourself short. You've got to start high. I would call into some local landscapers and pose as if you were getting the job done yourself. Get their estimate and go from there.
